Charity Shop Heaven

Charity shopping score!!
For a while I have been lusting over the Chanel 2.55 bag. You know the one; classic, sleek and pretty expensive.  Over the last few months a few of my favourite you-tubers, have shown a ‘what’s in my bag,’ video featuring the Chanel 2.55. Fleur De Force comments on it perfect size as a small handbag for both day and night, and to be honest I totally agree. Small bags are better for you, and the 2.55 just looks amazing with everything. As an almost student I simply can’t afford the ultimate luxury of a Chanel bag… but no fear. There are many good look’a’like bags on the market. One was in my very own town!

I was testing contact lenses out and was sent to walk around for a half an hour, so I decided to nip into the local charity shop with my Dad for a quick looksee. Then I saw it! A beautiful Chanel 2.55 look‘a’like for only £3! Only hours before I had been thinking about that bag and seeing this imitation was fate I had to buy it! Though it’s clearly not made by Chanel, from a long way off, someone could be fooled?

Anyway I love it! It’s a simple twist lock makes accessing my phone and purse easy whilst on the move. The clipped pocket, I have found, is the perfect place for my phone as it keeps it separate from the debris I collect in the bottom of the bag.

The back of the bag had a pocket similar to the real 2.55 but in my lifestyle this is not practical. My phone and my keys are just too big. However saying very small flat things could fit in here… maybe my packets of gum will find a new home.

All in all I am so pleased with this find! I was looking to buy a new bag but I couldn't see any I liked, so this came at exactly the right time. I also don’t need to worry if it gets ruined over the summer as it was only cheap (compared to the real thing) and replacing it with a similar design should not be a massive problem. Comment below if you have similar problems with drooling over expensive bags?
Sorry for the quality of photos I just took these with a webcam

Keep smiling and be happy

Introducing Me

Introducing Me!

You know the first blog is always the hardest.
My name is Iona, I know slightly unusual, for four letters it surprising how many people gets it wrong. I’ve been called everything from Leona to Long; seriously four letters! My name is Gaelic and traditionally means peace and tranquillity. I am anything but peaceful and tranquil.  Sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing or saying but it leads to a very interesting life.

I’m 18 and about to head out into the big bad world and accomplish something. I have no idea what that is though. When I was younger I always wanted to be a teacher, my mum is one and the idea of helping teenagers through, exams and general pubescent woes appealed. Having just completed that part of my life I can speak from experience and admit that it was the hardest thing I have ever done (so far). However from helping out in classes in my free periods I can say, though I was rock at it, attempting to help people, who don’t want help, is not for me. Making people smile and laugh is my life goal and forcing youngens to learn when they simply couldn't care less about seems like a pointless exercise. At this moment in time I am hoping to go to university and get a degree but after that, I have literally no idea but that’s ok. I have three years to figure it out.

started to toy with the idea of starting a blog, when I realised that after my revision ends after my a-levels I really won’t have a life. This summer is about fun and relaxing; but after working so hard for so long I will need to channel my surplus energy into something. So blogging it is! This blog will mostly be about my life (or lack of) and comments on my favourite books and activities. So hopefully you will enjoy reading the snippets of my life and keep returning for more instalments.
Keep on Smiling and Most of all Be Happy,

Iona xx
